Cà dei Maghi is a place inhabited since the XVII century; in 1800 the Fasoli Fedrigo family began the wine business in Negrar. In the ’50s grandmother Luigina, together with her husband Fernando, began the production of wine at Cà dei Maghi and at the same time the ‘Rama’, today’s farmhouse, was also born. Since then, Mari, Giovanna, Paolo and Ivana have been carrying on the family food and wine tradition. In 2009 there was the relaunch of the farm, immediately aiming to produce few but high quality bottles. Cà dei Maghi is located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica, all the vineyards are in the municipality of Fumane, Camparsi (1.8 ha), Monte Santoccio (2.5 ha) and Monte Sant’Urbano (2.7 ha). In recent years, the management of the winery has passed into the hands of Paolo Creazzi, the nephew: “Diversity is what I look for in a wine, and I was lucky enough to find vineyards that were immediately productive, so close but so different. The many varieties of grapes have allowed me to be able to give a precise identity to the Classics of Valpolicella and, with the IGT, to be able to experiment with something new every year, in search of that new nuance that can stand out. Every choice is thought out and involves absolute attention to detail: for us, there are no shortcuts”
