Producer profile:
In the heart of Tuscany, the soils of the Imperial farm have a loamy-clay composition, containing gravel and skeleton. An optimal soil blend that, together with the geographical position and their careful processing, contributes to making their wines unique in their kind. Imperiale was born from Matteo’s dream of making elegant, persistent wines with great longevity. Enio Frollani, originally from the Marche region and a farmer like his father, was one of the first people in the area to believe in the Bolgheri model and in 1995 he was one of the founders of the Consortium. Twenty years later, Enio proposed to his young son Matteo, then a professional boxing athlete but already passionate about great wines, to take over the old family vineyards in the Ferruggini area.
